Who We Are

C.A.R.A (Coordination of Animal Rescue Agencies) was founded by Christine Davies in 1993 from her home near Llandysul, West Wales. As a full time carer for her disabled mother, Christine spent most of her time in the home and decided to start the Animal Lost and Found Line and then CARA, both of which she was able to run in conjunction with her job as a carer. Her mother would accompany her on many of her 'rescue missions' around the U.K. until her health prevented her. Doris Davies sadly died in 1999 but her memory is very much alive and Christine continues to fight to save abandoned animals.
